Previously, Jim spent 15 years as a human resources consultant. His client list included: Real Networks, Southern California Metropolitan Water District, Northrop Grumman, Southwest Airlines, Jet Propoulson Laboratory, United Arab Emirates University, and the White House. Jim has held executive positions with Wachovia Bank, TRW, UCLA, Walt Disney Imagineering, and Raytheon.

One person said, 'I don't think you understand. I really, really want this job.' A week later, I received a made-up ransom note with a cut-off Mickey Mouse ear attached to it. The note said, 'We need to talk or you won't see the mouse again.' I hired him; very creative. But this wouldn't have worked at TRW"
