Sunstroke PM is a funk band inspired by the great artists of the 70ies Sunstroke PM revives the greatness of the legends with their music! Despite an average age of 25, the band members are devoted to the groovy funk as it was played by funk legend Sly Stone. The sound and spontaneity of the early recordings of Sly Stone has been an inspiration to the members since they began playing music as a band in June 2001. But what is it that makes Sunstroke PM a band to look out for? The founder of the band Jesper Karkov answers the question: Sunstroke PM plays music that speaks to the body! He is fascinated by the legends that keeps inspiring the band: Playing music by legends of funk and keeping the spirit of their music alive is one of the most beautiful things you can do. Sunstroke PM has recently begun writing their own material and in February 2006 they recorded 4 of their own songs. The band is still performing the original songs from the legends and Sunstroke PM has in their own unique way maintained the groove from the old recordings and made the songs their own.
