| Beschreibung: | More than 100,000 elderly people with dementia are being given a range of dangerous drugs which may be doing them no good at all. The drugs are not licensed for the treatment of their condition, and they can cause drastic side-effects. Official figures reveal that 700 patients have died as a result of these drugs in the UK over the past 5 years, and that may be a considerable underestimate. Yet doctors continue to prescribe them widely for dementia patients. Gerry Northam investigates. |
